About A Written Word

A Written Word was established in 1995. Based in Colorado, the company has clients all over the United States who have learned that distance is not an obstacle to quality documentation.

Carol Elkins, owner of A Written Word, has a Master's degree in physiological psychology and over 17 years' experience as a technical writer. Her research skills and scientific background combine to make her goal-directed, bent on quality, and a stickler for detail. (Also, she gets a real kick out of what she does!)

Carol teams with seasoned professionals in many disciplines, including graphic design, technical illustration, programming, and Web architecture, providing clients with a "one-stop shopping" experience. Clients needing specialized tools and services outside the normal range of technical communication use AWW to manage their projects and to secure the professional services required to get the job done.
